There are many things you can do to manage without getting too tired or without a lot of fuss.
Here are some home management hacks to make your life easier.
Plan and Prioritize
It is very important that we not just plan but prioritize as to what needs to be done first. It is advisable to have a weekly cleaning plan. Allot one day to each task like Bathroom cleaning, kitchen cleaning and wardrobe cleaning.
2. Keep Vegetable Ready for the Entire Week
See, this includes two things. 1. Always create a basic meal plan for the entire week, at least for Lunch and Dinner. 2. Cut the vegetables like, cabbage, cauliflower, carrots, capsicum, beans in air tight containers every Saturday or Sunday or whatever day you buy your groceries.
This helps you in two different ways, one your refrigerator is always organised. Two, you always know what to cook and almost half the work is almost done.
3. Have Proper Storage and Assigned Space for Everything
Fix a place for everything. For example have proper cleaning boxes/buckets set for Bathrooms and kitchens. You should know what goes where.
4. Check the Checklist
Having checklists is crucial as it helps you feel more responsible and every time you would cross the task you just finished, it would give you a sense of achievement and soon that becomes a habit.
5. Keep a Tab on Your Expenses
Now this does not mean that you have to start with cost cutting. It only means that you should try and write how much you spend and on what. This helps you identify if you are spending way too much on something and also gives you a fair idea as to where you can do some cost cutting and save some money. You will be surprised to see that within months of starting this activity you will always have some spare cash at the end of the month.
Iron while teaching your kids or set wardrobe while teaching them, do laundry and wash the bathrooms or clean kitchen. For each house the circumstances can be different so identify what two things can go hand in hand. This also helps in saving time.
7. Assign Work
Don’t put yourself to be responsible to do all the work at home. Assign jobs, have a cleaning lady, ask kids or husband to do the dusting, set dining table, dry the laundry, or any job that feel can be shared, let the members of the family take some responsibility if not a lot. At least train your kids in a way tat they know that some tasks are their responsibility and they have to do it.
Go For a Morning Walk
This is very crucial. Going for a walk gives you time to think and talk to yourself. It keeps you energized for all the things you have to do.
